According to a survey taken last year, about one-third of the world’s population are now Christian.
However, despite its large number of followers, Christianity hasn’t exactly had the best press. There are many out there who question the validity of a faith that preaches a message of love, but promotes behaviour that is judgmental and exclusive.

Can a 2000-year old book really hold the answers for me today?
For others, the problem may not be as intellectual as it is personal. They have been invited to church by their eager friends only to leave confused by strange Christian practices or a controversial message.
Lastly, there are those who wonder: “What does a 2000 year old faith have to do with me? I just want to get on with my own life, thank you very much.”
In view of these things, Christianity Revisited is a response to this. Our goal is simple: to present the Christian message in basic, contemporary and propositional terms.
In basic terms, because in the sharing of the Gospel, Christians tend to use a lot of jargon may mean something to the long-time believer, but nothing for a first-time hearer. For example, when the Bible uses a word like “sin”, what does it really mean? Is it a just a matter of doing bad or good, or is it something more?
In contemporary terms, because we’re aware of the problem making Biblical a priori assumptions in a postmodern world. An a priori argument is a claim made without any prior experience. Therefore, a Biblical a priori is any argument that uses the assumption “Do this, because the Bible says so…” in its reasoning. But what if I don’t believe in the God of the Bible? What then? As much as possible, we’ll try to avoid these assumptions, or explain why Christians use them in the first place.
Finally, in propositional terms, because God never compels a person to follow Him. Each person has to right to decide on his beliefs. Therefore, at any point of time along the six weeks, you feel that Christianity has nothing for you, then you’re absolutely free to leave. Our only plea is that you listen to the message in its entirety, so you can at least make a proper judgement as to why you believe Christianity is not the thing for you.
So, if you like what you’re hearing, please come and join use every Sunday afternoon starting from 15th November this year. We’d love to have you, regardless of your background or questions you have.
Yours,
The Christianity Revisited Team

[...] Thus, after prayer and careful thinking, we’ve come up with Christianity Revisited, a six-week course designed for this purpose. Its a candid look at the faith as we go through basic topics like “sin”, “justice” and “pleasure”, studying the Christian worldview surrounding each of these areas. The atmosphere is also casual and relaxed; we’re going to try our best to reduce the “churchiness” with no praying, singing of Christian songs and fire-and-brimstone message at the end. You’ll get a fuller idea at this page. [...]
